Kinder Readiness Summer Program
FREE Kindergarten Readiness Program
June 3 – June 28, 2024 (CONCLUDED FOR 2024 - Future Opportunities will be shared with families and updated in this section of our website.)
The Natomas Unified Kindergarten Readiness Program is designed to prepare children who have not attended preschool for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) or Kindergarten (K) success in the upcoming school year. Enrollment is only available for those registered for TK or K for the 2023-2024 school year. The program is open to all eligible children regardless of what school they are registered to attend.
Please note: students who attended TK and will be entering Kindergarten in the Fall are NOT eligible to enroll in the program. Kinder Readiness Summer Program is designed specifically for students who have no prior experience in a school setting.

Monday-Friday 8:00am-12:00pm

ENROLLMENT:
If you are interested in enrolling your child, please complete the Kindergarten Readiness Application. The application will be available Monday, April 15, 2024! Families will be notified in Mid-May of enrollment status for the Summer Kinder Readiness Program.

Priority is given to children who have never attended preschool. The program is open to all eligible students regardless of what school they are registered to attend in 2023-2024.
ATTENDANCE:
Due to the limited number of spaces and days of the program, attendance is essential. Students and families must commit to attending the entire session.
NUTRITION SERVICES:
As part of our Nutrition Services program, all Kindergarten Readiness Program students will be offered school-provided breakfast and lunch at no cost.
CLOTHING:
While at the Kindergarten Readiness Program, children are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities both inside and outside. Please send your child to school in washable, comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes.
Funding for the Natomas School Readiness Program is provided by the First 5 Sacramento Commission which uses Proposition 10 (tobacco tax) funds to support the healthy development of children ages zero to five.
